Being a former Malmsteen fanatic (back when I was a kid and discovering the world of electric guitar), I would have to agree with you both. Yngwie said many times he is a rocker with classical influences. I never compared him to CG players because at that time I just didn´t hear classical, except for the ocassional Manuel Barrueco CD that blew me away.
Regarding “metalheads”, “Classicalheads”? Can we just be MUSIC heads?
