That’s true, but I feel that in the future people in North America will start to move away from commercial garbage. There are a lot of Europeans who are just as bad, but not it’s not as prevalent. Now that it’s easier today to get your voice out there, I think people will start to explore music more and people who normally today don’t get much recognition will start to get some. Sadly, it’s just a slow process.

I haven’t heard of many asian classical guitarists… but there are so many neoclassical guitarists from Japan in the rock/metal community… Asian, particularly Japan, is a lot more diverse than America, if you ask me. People in the US aren’t willing to try anything that’s not pop, rap, or generic rock, in general at least.

True, you don’t hear much from Asian players. But perhaps that’s because Asia is just…another world, so to speak. I mean, just go to an Asian website and it’s full of weird symbols and requires you to install a font, etc.

Man, these Asian classical guitarists are THE BEST!!

Why doesn’t anyone EVER talk about them? People usually want to talk about Spanish and American guitarists, but they never talk about Asian ones.
