You don’t really need to have guitar knowledge to talk to this guy, but the guitar Hobie is a great ice breaker. Just go up to him very casually and ask him something like “so do you carry your guitar everywhere”? Then just smile and say you were joking. Then ask him how long his been playing it and how he got into it. All you really need is an ice breaker to start off the conversation. Then ask him what he plans to do with his talent, start a band maybe? Anyhow, from here on it’s all you. Just try and keep the conversation going. Make sure to smile and feel confident. You’ll do just fine.

I don’t play classical guitar, but ask him what kind it is. I’m not sure about classical guitar brands, but Gibson, and Ibanez make acoustic guitars so I would imagine they would make classical guitars too. Find out how long he has been playing.
These are a few things I like about watching a classical guitar player play. I love hearing a classical guitar piece. It’s awesome to watch someone play because they use all their fingers on both hands to play. That’s an awesome display of technique and discipline.
