Hello, sir, great guitar tone you got there. Would you kindly please tell us exactly what guitar strings do you use (Brand and model)? I suppose you use high tensions? Do you use the same brand for both the treble and EAD strings? thank you for your reply

Thanks so much for this video – I’m finally working on trying to smooth out this piece. I still have trouble with those rest strokes, but your advice has been very helpful!

So? I’m saying he has a beautiful guitar, it has a really sweet tone.

I was joking when I said some good guitars were made in ’93, because that’s when mine was made as well.
He said he plays a 1993 Greg Byers.

hi Mtr. Kevin. I see you keep your right hand in the air, i mean there´s in not some finger on any string all the time, this is something i have worked hard for keeping the right hand´s balance, i often keep the thumb in some string and if it is working i hold the “a” finger on one high string. Do you often play in that way or is it because this is a calm piece?, i would like to know cause i really like your performance and it would be an important opinion.
thank so much for your videos!

i think his story about the reststroke is not really a good way to play that. you’re finger has to be relaxed, that’s true. But there must not be a bending in the finertop. that’s really bad. But the rest was good. Good lesson. Cheers

hi – you can find Greg by googling “Greg Byers Luthier”. Youtube does not allow me to put websites in these comments.

    Best,

    Kevin

I like using my second finger instead of my third on that high C#. Much easier.

Hi, where did you get this ’93 Greg Byers
guitar? I’ve never heard of him and I’m
interested in getting one. The tone is very
    beautiful.
